We are in the midst of the largest extinction on planet earth.
We are literally in the midst of collective dying.
Both ecologically and systemically.
Yet we have focused all our collective energy on creating division, segregation, hate, fear…
fighting an inevitably endemic virus…
All the while
Dying.
Gracelessly.
Fearfully.
Lonely.
In denial.
Everyone waiting
for someone to save them, from themselves.
Full faith in corporate
predatory
inherently self-interested institutions
and their 24/7 propaganda.
#shotofhope, they say.
Hope, misplaced,
readily turns to despair.
Hope, without courage,
is denial in drag.
Hope, without action,
is fear, stagnated.
Hope, without authenticity,
is the opioid of the masses.
Hope, without vision,
is a slow and degrading death sentence.
We are at a critical choice point in modern history
and how we choose to act
will determine the future
we will find ourselves in.
Here’s what I know:
We will never find sanity in an insane world.
We will never find courage in hope, displaced…waiting.
We will never find our mind, plugged in to the cloud.
